Four Injured in Active Shooter Incident at Morgan State University Campus

On Tuesday night, an incident occurred at Morgan State University in which at least four individuals were shot. Law enforcement referred to it as an active shooter event. The shooting took place in the 1700 block of Argonne Drive, which is the location of a student dormitory and is adjacent to the Northeastern District police station. Baltimore Police spokesperson Vernon Davis confirmed that there were at least four victims, although their conditions were not immediately known.


At 10 p.m., the police used social media, specifically X (formerly known as Twitter), to inform the public about the active shooter situation. Their message urged everyone to take shelter and avoid the affected area.


Morgan State University also communicated via X (formerly known as Twitter) that an active investigation was underway regarding reports of gunfire on or near the campus. They advised people to steer clear of the Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center and to shelter in place.


Additionally, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced that they were dispatching special agents to assist the Baltimore Police at the scene. This article will be regularly updated with further information.
