Dennis John Hernandez, the older brother of former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez, found himself in serious legal trouble last week. According to the Bristol, Conn. police department, Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of breach of peace and making physical threats, raising concerns about his behavior and intentions.

Arrest and Allegations:

The arrest, as reported in the Bristol PD police blotter, occurred last Wednesday. However, specific details about the incident were not immediately available, as the Bristol PD could not be reached for comment at the time of the report.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Hernandez was originally scheduled to appear in court on July 7 for unrelated matters.

However, he stands accused of a disturbing incident where he allegedly used his ex-girlfriend's car to travel to Brown University and the University of Connecticut. Concerns arose when a witness claimed they believed Hernandez had gone to these institutions to plan shootings, prompting multiple people to come forward in early July to express their worries about his erratic behavior.

Threatening Messages and Social Media Posts:

Among the alarming pieces of evidence presented to the police were text messages, one of which supposedly read, "we're taking lives if (expletive) isn't paid up. It's been years in planning just taking notes, names, and locations. They talked their way into this, and it's almost point game." These messages, along with other disturbing social media posts, raised red flags for law enforcement.

Standoff with Police:

TMZ further reports that a confrontation occurred between Hernandez and law enforcement before his arrest. He purportedly told the police that he was armed and warned them that he would harm them if they approached him. The situation escalated when Hernandez started advancing towards the police with his hands outstretched to his side, ignoring their commands. In response, the police had to resort to using a taser to subdue him before taking him into custody.

Hospitalization and Continued Threats:

Following his arrest, Hernandez was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation. However, the ordeal did not end there, as he continued to make threats during his time at the medical facility. Notably, he expressed a desire to harm anyone who profited off his brother, mentioning media outlets like ESPN. Such statements only intensified concerns about his mental state and potential danger to others.

Legal Consequences:

After being released from the hospital, Hernandez was booked and held on a substantial $250,000 bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for the following week, where he will face the charges against him. The seriousness of the allegations and the nature of his behavior suggest that Hernandez could be facing severe legal consequences if found guilty.

Dennis John Hernandez's arrest on suspicion of breach of peace and making physical threats has sent shockwaves through the community, especially given his association with his infamous younger brother, Aaron Hernandez.

As the legal proceedings unfold, authorities and the public alike will be closely watching the case, hoping for a resolution that ensures the safety of all involved.
